Overview
Established on 21st September, 2023, the Building Regulatory & Development Authority (BRDA) under the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) is responsible for enforcing Building Bye-Laws and ensuring orderly development in the 6th Scheduled areas.

Functions

Granting building permissions and No Objection Certificates (N.O.C.s).

Registration of technical personnel involved in construction.

Levying taxes on buildings, including Labour Cess.

Ensuring orderly and planned development in accordance with legal regulations.
